Book blogger, audiobook lover and shamelessly honest reviewer. Mostly read fantasy, mystery, romance, UF and YA but all genres welcome.
Like Agatha Christie herself, I consider this book one of my favorites among all the ones she wrote. I can't say why I like it without giving a spoiler but in my opinion, the solution for this mystery was simply brilliant.
Martin Jarvis (the narrator) did a good job portraying both the humor and the sinister atmosphere that sometimes prevailed. I thought his voice was a bit too old for Jerry's (who's basically the main character) but then his voice grew on me. His portrayal of Miss Marple was a bit too high for my taste but as Miss Marple only shows up in the last quarter of the book and has just a few appearances, that is really not a big deal.
